I have and use the EdTracker wired for my headtracking in Il-2 and I really like it, especially as depending on time of day I sometimes have significant backlighting, which I think would cause problems with IR trackers.

Unfortunately they've gone out of business and I never pulled the trigger to purchase a replacement. My kid accidentally dropped my headset with the tracker on it the other day and while it doesn't seem any worse for wear it made me think about having a backup tracker unit just in case again. I have got good reviews for the Delanclip IR tracking setup and am considering ordering one as a backup, but I honestly like the way the EdTracker functions better - all internal to the unit.

Is anybody making a similar type of unit, using magnetometer/gyros for head tracking?
