javelina Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) Hi group, just a couple comments & questions. I've managed to map the joystick function ok, within BoS. What I find is that I have to push down on my joystick, to get the Aircraft to fly level. So I attempted to map the Warthog "trim" switch, went into BoS, found the trim functions, and clicked on the switch. It appears things are mapped ok. But when I enter the sim, and am flying about, there's no trim working from that switch. Is it because that trim switch has a couple keystroke functions, and thus aren't getting passed through correctly? I've never used TARGET, but I've read a bit of the manual, and do understand programming. I went and pulled a profile from here, http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/2486-wart-hog-profile/?p=63224 Loaded it up in TARGET, but when I use the profile, I have no control over my joystick pitch or roll. Nothing.... I exit the sim, and have TARGET shutoff the profile, and then going back into the sim, the pitch and roll work... If I invoke a profile via TARGET, and then start up the sim, do I need to make further edits within the BoS's control settings? (I understand TARGET creates some virtual controllers). any insight would be appreciated. thanks, -Jav ps. I've been only flying the 109 Edited June 21, 2014 by javelina
javelina Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 I flew the Stuka, and was able to get the Pitch trim to work, (without target). Maybe something up with the 109.
ST_Pirato Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I'm not sure, but I think on the 109 the Trim is called Stabilizer. It is seperate option in the Control setup.
javelina Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) I can find pitch, roll, and yaw. I have the pitch and roll set to use the Warthog's pitch & roll trim switch. Unfortunately, the roll trim of that switch doesn't appear to work, though the pitch trim works fine on the Stuka. But when I invoke pitch, the pitch will work in the correct direction I want, but it also starts a gradual drift into a left turn, no matter if I pitch trim up or down..... rats.... this sim looks great, but I hate having to battle my controls. (Yep, I know it's alpha code, so no worries... it'll all sort it's self out. especially with the amount of Warthog users out there). :-) Edited June 21, 2014 by javelina
Dakpilot Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Go to controls and map the same controls you use for pitch pitch trim to Adjustable Stabilsor, which the BF109 uses, also unlike other A/C it can also be mapped to an axis Different systems but using same keys for when flying different A/C types Cheers Dakpilot
javelina Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 thanks buddy, will do. appreciate the help!
Grey*Ghost Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I had the same challenge.....in the BF109 you have to also map the Adjustable Stabilizers on the Trim Knob..... don´t worry, you won´t get any conflicts if you double map the pitch trim knob. Best Nume 2
