TWCS Throttle Unit

Salute,

Can any Techmate Virpils with experience of the above unit help with my query? Is it plug and play with IL2GB or do you have to use the TARGET software to assign functions? Also, could anyone guide me to some of the best button assignments? Thinking of upgrading from Saitek 3 Lever Quadrant. All the Flight Peripherals have got expensive haven't they?

Yes it is plug and play.

 

TARGET is NOT needed.

 

The example below is for single engine aircraft. It is just my test version for your reference. One can assign buttons and levers as desired.

Unless something has changed, their firmware isn't needed.

You do not need TARGET software to use the TM devices, but you greatly limit yourself on what you can and can not do with it.  I do believe there is firmware for this setup, but I could be wrong.  I use it and I'm no software programmer/engineer.............  There are some good tutorials on YouTube as how to tackle it.
