Try these easy to install mods. It is as easy as following the instructions in this post. Edited June 28, 2021 by =AW=drewm3i-VR
Noisemaker Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 I do this in the U2/Po2 on occasion. The Kuban is especially beautiful at low speeds. 1

senseispcc Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Have you already tried to make the flight from the south to the north following the Rhine?! It is a great flight and more! It is a great game. 1
[F.Circus]MoerasGrizzly Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 The "havoc over the Kuban" campaign does a really good job at showcasing the beauty of that map. 1 1 1
Avimimus Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 In Il-2 Desert Wings... I've spent a huge amount of time in the Bf-108... there is something incredibly charming about it... just fast enough and with good enough visibility for sight-seeing, but still with the limited power you'd expect of a civilian aircraft... and it really is pleasant to just explore the maps. Nothing beats having a small civilian plane to explore in. In Il-2 1946 the RWD8 and RWD10 mods were really brilliant (the Miles Magister was also fun - but not quite as much fun as the Parasoles). In BoX/Great Battles I tend to tour in faster fighters or in the WW1 aircraft (sometimes the U-2VS)... and it is fun. I really wish we had the Ju-188 (or failing that the Fw-189)! The cockpit of the Arado 234 will be far too cluttered - but the Ju-188 and Fw-189 had truly exceptionally clear cockpits... better than the He-111!! 1
Avimimus Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 (edited) You know what is funny? I don't really get into civilian flying usually - I really enjoy flying gliders in the original Flight Gear (to this day - there is something about the simple thermals and small almost intimate locations) and I've modelled aircraft in X-Plane... but I don't really do civil flying... but in these sims - I loved the Bf-108, RWD-8, RWD-10, some of the Flying Circus aircraft (and the Demoiselle and Farman/Boxkite in FS-WW1)... so it is very much aircraft specific I suppose? Monostripezebra Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I did that, too.. and while some details are nice.. like the cuban straigh crossing cable car or the greek museum building .. But I was kinda dissapointed that there is no Fort Eben Emael near Mastricht on the Bodenplatte map 1

Its even better with the enhanced texture mods too ?. I seriously wish the dev's would port some of the various texture mods into the base game like they did with the 4k pits. 1
danielprates Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 The Kuban map is absolutelly stunning, I do scenery flights there often. 2 1
Jeronimo83 Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I also love flying “training flights”, especially along Zeeland and the Dutch coast. 1
