I think Esther is .....maybe Swedish? Some were up there    Anyway my brother had three old English bikes when he was young. All in the 40s and 50s and all Triumphs.

Shifter is on the right instead of the left. The clutch is the same with your left hand. English bikes didn't change until the late 60s or early 70s with the shifter
