Have fun!How to take the test? - Pick an answer to each question that suits you best, and write down the letter it's labelled with. - When done count the letters you wrote down, pick the letter you chose most of the time (or one that's just prettiest). - Find the ace labelled with letter you picked below questions! - Have fun and expect descriptions of aces (except Charles Nungesser!) to be slightly exaggerated by yours truly. WHICH HISTORICAL ACE ARE YOU? Question 1: You are oiled, wounded, your control surfaces jammed and your opponent is about to get firing solution on you. You... (a) ... are sure the faulty damage model of your plane is to blame. There will be post on 1CGS forum soon, addressing the problem in detail. ( b ) ... are sure the situation described never applies to you. (c ) ...sideslip to lose speed, hoping to hit his prop with your rudder.Then demand his apology for ramming you. (d) ... are sure it would not happen if this map had enough of Camels/D.VIIFs/Spads for you to get one. (e) ... are still going to shoot him down, just few more turns. (f) ... try to land. Refer to the fight as "that time he almost downed me" ever after. (h) ... pull out pistol out and try to hit his head. (g) ...challenge him for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. Question 2: A new pilot posts on FC forums, asking for advice. You... (g) ...challenge him for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. (h) ... tell him to go with Nieuport 28 - Rickenbacker wrote it was excellent turnfighter! (f) ... make sure everyone in thread stays on topic (e) ...give him your best advice and stick with it, despite the criticism. Repost ad neausum if necessary. (d) ... suggest him to try your favourite plane first. (c ) ...make sure to disagree with people you don't like. ( b ) ...make sure no one gives him bad advice and if they do, raise hell (a) ... warn him of FM/DM errors and unhistorical behaviour of planes. Question 3: Your team is outnumbered on server 3:1 by enemy players. You... (d) ... don't care, as long as you have your Spad / Camel / D.VIIF you can take on them. (c ) ... insult their bad sportsmanship on chat, then go to kill them all. ( b ) ... don't care. What good would they be on your side, except maybe as bait? At least they won't be getting into your way. (a) ... are sure people favour enemy side because their planes are better modelled (and not in historically correct way). (g) ...challenge him for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. (h) Go over enemy airfield at 200 meters. (f) ... switch sides. (e) ... see it as target-rich enviroment. 4. A completely nonsense, barking at moon thread appeared on FC forums. You... (a) ...divert discussion into DM issues. Whatever OP believes his problem is, that's where the real cause lies. ( b ) ...let OP now how wrong he is - in few quick, precise words. (c ) ... wont let OP get away with that, no matter how many posts it takes (d) ... suggest that switching to Spad / Camel / D.VIIF will solve OPs problem. (g) ...challenge OP for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. (e) ...pick the one post that upsets you most and keep arguing with that person until he agrees he was wrong (f) ...start a small flame war without breaking forum rules, then report the thread. (h) ...have started the thread. Question 5: Your side is outnumbering enemy players 3:1, they are asking for someone to switch sides. You... (c ) ... go to their airfield with friends to establish superiority. (d) ... are just flying your Spad /Camel / D.VIIF as always, aren't going to abandon it. (a) ...are sure it's all right, your side needs these numbers to outset bad DMs of your planes. (e) ... switch sides. It's target rich enviroment again! (b) ...switch sides. To few targets, to many people getting in your way. (g) ...challenge someone for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. (f) ...just keep scoring as fast as you can. (h) ... attack closest plane you see. Question 6: Your side is being rolled over in an online event. You... (f) ... make sure everybody knows you did your part and more. (c ) ... try to kill as many bastards as you can. (e) ...volunteer to one assignment after another, when killed play as gunner. Leave disappointed if no one needs human gunner. (g) ...challenge someone for a fist fight and walk away with his girl. (d) ... are content and doing well as long as you are flying your SPAD / Camel / D.VIIF. (a) are sure it's problem of FM and DMs. You should have been flying for other side... ( b ) ... try to salvage situation single-handly, while arguing strategy with your CO on Discord. (h) ... wonder what online event is. Question 7: You have derailed a thread on FC forums because... (c ) ... people I don't like posted their usual nonsense there. (d) ... I'm sure switching to my favourite plane will solve original problem and had to defend that fact. ( b ) ...people to limited and incompetent to voice their opinions were doing exactly that. (e) ...one thing led to another and then I was to involved in to leave. (a) ...the real problem behind thread subject were faulty damage models, anyway, so we should discuss that instead. Manfred von Richthofen! You whine about faults of every plane you fly, even if you are successful in it. In fact, as newer and better planes are released, your criticism of their flying characteristics gets more harsh and louder. If majority of your answers is ( b ), you are... Rene Fonck! You are an excellent pilot and you know it, but for some reason people don't respect you enough. Maybe if you keep reminding them how yours is the only right way to fly they will see how wrong they were. If majority of your answers is c), you are... Mick Mannock! Kill! Ram! Strafe! Don't let them land! Bomb them when they do! Kill them in chutes! Aaaaah, it feels good to be flying for good guys... If majority of your answers is d), you are... Josef Jacobs! You stick to your favourite plane even if it seems to make no sense, and who can blame you? If majority of your answers is e), you are... Werner Voss! You won't leave the fight even when you are outnumbered, losing and have a clear way out. For you, the journey is more important than the destination. If majority of your answers is f), you are... Billy Bishop! It does not matter what really happened, your ability to retell the story until it makes you look good will see you through. If majority of your answers is g), you are... Charles Nungesser! You challenge people for fist fights and walk away with their girls. If majority of your answers is h), you are... Hugh Trenchard! You are so out of your depth you believe yourself to be competent. It never occurs to you that your opponents are using tactics more complicated than yours, because yours is the best there is.
