That would put you in perfect company.. most people in online combat flightsims are misanthropic and try to explode, burn and elsehow trying to kill the others on the server in the coldest, most distant way possible.

Angry_Kitten Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Servers no fun.... no point.... real fun is single player. Never hear about anyone on the allied side bitch about parachutes just because they dont have one 1
US41_Winslow Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 I’ve found WW1 multiplayer much more engaging than single player because combat is much more dynamic and unpredictable compared to fighting the AI. For me, multiplayer seems to match the descriptions of combat much better than single player ever has, I think mainly due to everyone flying having at least some desire to survive the fight and the positioning that occurs in the minutes before combat breaks out. I have never seen the AI ever try to hide in a cloud or try to get above me before they attack or dive away when they realize they are losing which, for me, really makes multiplayer more immersive and believable than single player. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should take up a Fokker one day and get some altitude over your lines and see if you can’t find something to shoot rather than going straight to the lines at a hundred feet because it will only lead to someone diving on you and it all being over in one or two seconds, which only leads to frustration. Overall, I will say that switching from single player to multiplayer made flying these airplanes much more fun and rewarding and I wish I’d done it much sooner than I did. 2

Never hear about anyone on the allied side bitch about parachutes just because they dont have one I consider that the AI has improved compared to Rise of Flight. But even then there's no contest in my mind over which is more fun, online wins hands down. There are so many more factors that come into play when your facing player opponents. As Miners states the desire to survive being one element. Gets your heart pumping. Gets things running through your mind. I could go on and on for pages with more. The AI as much as they have improved are never going to be human. As for your latter sentence, sure sometimes there can be players that spend the entire time bitching about issues etc and those times are an bummer. But those time's are in the minority in my experience. Most wanting to focus on playing with some humour and light hearted banter thrown in also. Being on communications improves the online experience further IMHO as increases the feeling that your not alone. Increases your chances for survival. Increases the kind of operations you can conduct against the Hun. Edited July 4, 2021 by Oliver88 1
