Typhoon Ground Attack AI

On ground attack missions in bodenplatte campaign I have found that only one or none of my formation fires their rockets at the target.

 

Some context: the mission was to attack a group of enemy ground troops near a town (can't remember the mission title off the top of my head). Myself and one of my AI formation engaged with rockets, destroyed a couple of trucks & guns then the rest of my formation turned for home without firing a shot and I was the only one to go in for a 2nd pass with cannons. We got a mission complete message but I am rather disappointed with the AI at the moment.

 

In other ground attack aircraft such as IL2 and P47 I have noticed the AI behaving as I would expect however.

I suspect that the destroyed trucks and guns fulfilled the mission objectives and therefore completed the mission. It is probably the specific mission logic (programming) at work and not the result of any particular attacking aircraft type performance malfunction.

 

Campaign Mission AI logic is actually very dumb. It simply does exactly what it is programmed to do in the mission template.
