After a short period in hospital, he will be flying again in early July. Legend is that RAF ace Douglas Bader shot down Galland but Bader downed a different Bf-109 this day. • The Luftwaffe conducts a large raid on Southampton and damages the King George V drydock. • The RAF raids Dusseldorf with 55 bombers and Köln with 68.
