Mission Type - What Does It Do?

Is anyone able to enlighten me as to what selecting a mission type (other than single, deathmatch, cooperative) does eg "Enemy bridge bombing strike"? when creating a mission file.

 

From what I can see it does not do anything to the map?

 

There are many options with a "NEW" extension as well?

As far as I know, the other mission types you refer to are for the career mode, which I don't think us mere mortals can build missions for.

 

By the way, in addition to single, deathmatch, or cooperative, you can also select "campaign".

0: Single

1: Coop
