PatrickAWlson Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Posted this in the main forum but repeating it here. Awhile back I made iconic missions for PWCG, where representations of interesting historical events were modeled. Then I allowed PWCG to generate those missions as standalone. Now you can generate those missions and drive any TC tank and the AAA trucks instead of flying a plane. 3 2 1
moustache Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 (edited) I wanted to thank you, I installed your program, it's really cool (it will be perfect when the devs fix the AI and cannon bugs ..) little question: do you plan to offer tanks a career mode like for airplanes one day? in any case, thank you again, luckily modders like you are there to keep TC alive ... a big thank you (edit, I just have a problem, when I select the iconic missions in Kuban, the mission generation icon does not appear ...) I admit I am ignorant in terms of tank "career"... while it's cool idea to drive a tank from Moscow through Stalingrad to Kuban (or from Normandy to Rhineland!), were they really continously used outside offensives? Tanks aren't exactly flying dailysorties from a fixed base, I suspect tank careers would be mostly cruising in long columns or resupplying behind the lines, broken by very intense periods of an offensive?
moustache Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 no, that's not what I would like ... rather a sort of campaign, with diverse and varied missions, an evolving front ... but with this "realistic" side, or most of the time, it doesn't nothing is actually happening, just tension ...

I tried these with the Sherman on Normandy invasions and they spawn me on an empty beach with no one to attack.

I found it very interesting now that I'm starting to understand how it works, you've been very good thanks for this PWCG and your patience for people like me who struggle to understand how all these programs work.

Not sure what you mean by no more PWCG, or why you would pull that quote and translate it as no more PWCG. Anyhow, I will try to clarify: PWCG for BoS is still under active development. PWCG for FC is also being actively supported. Development is on hold pending finalization of the FC product. At the moment I just don't have what I need to finish the job, but it should be forthcoming. PWCG BoS/FC are, in fact, the same code base and share 90% or more code. PWCG for TC is probably not going forward, but it will remain available as is. PWCG TC is a different code base entirely. All PWCG installs are are available in the usual place: http://www.pwcampaignmanager.com/pwcg/pwcgbos/web/PWCGBoS.php 1 1
