Nieuport rudder jerky

Just been trying the Nieuport, i like it, but a Q: the rudder behaves quite jerky ... is that an issue that will be fixed?

Is it possible that your joystick / computer connection is bad?  I had the same problem when I played RoF with my (probably 10 year old) Saitek ST290 Pro a while back.  I went into the joystick input configurations and the axis indicator for rudder was jumping around without me even touching it.  Just bought a new joystick in preparation for getting Flying Circus; time will tell if that was the problem, but hopefully this helps.
