It has to be considered. But,you know,TK is annoying...

Especially when u are feeling tired and wired, just have the airfield in sight and prepare for a landing, suddenly shit happens.

I think team killing penalties depend on the multiplayer server you're playing on. Most servers have some sort of system whereby TK'ers are kicked or banned so I don't know what else you are expecting?

Harsh, but my two cents worth.

Coz these TKers they never learn.

Next time ,they would pull the trigger without any hesitation as before.

double check ? what is that ?

Sounds good, unless you happen to be the U-2 jockey and a dude who has just TK'd one of your mates suddenly spwans™ over your shoulder armed with a machine gun :)

As somebody who has failed to resist the urge of figuring out whether one actually can gun-off that tail on a no-respwan COOP-mission, I have to say:

The struggle is real!

That appears to lend some weight to the idea that you're never alone when you're a schizophrenic.

We have a tradition in my group, in coop. To place a newcomer in front of me in while taxiing to the airstrip, no one is part of the group until I accidentally have chopped their tail off with my propeller.

The rest taxi like maniacs, or frighten chickens if you will to avoid me. My impatience is well known

Another reason I miss Hyperlobby - I had a running ban list for my co-ops.

I remember one guy “I can’t see well enough to tell the difference”

That sums-up a reality of aerial combat that has existed since WW1, but which history prefers to forget.

There are different kinds of 'teamkilling'

You can get killed by

- flying into a bomb explosion

- crossing a line of fire

- false identification of the target

None of the mentioned is a teamkill by 'I want to kill'

Most (if not all) of the mentioned happen

And the only one that is suspect is the last one (false identification)

If you fly into a bomb explosion you are

- to close to your teammates dropping bombs (own fault)

- not watching if somebody else attacks the same target (own fault)

- hot hit by a high level bombers bomb (and that is 'shit happens')

If you cross a line of fire

- you've ignored other planes engaging the same target (own fault)

If you got killed by 'false identification'

- talk to the pilot shooting you down by accident

- in most cases you'll receive a 'sorry for that' before you ask

- if you don't receive a 'sorry' (either instantly or after asking) -> report him -> ban

BUT

Automated bans after teamkill is NO solution (too many reasons that mean accident OR false behaviour by killed/both pilots)

Even in case a report would be the correct way to react

- before banning BOTH sides should be asked what happened

Automated bans means keep someone out for a while, but it doesnt help improving identification skills.

Thx for your reply anyway.

If multiplayer ever introduces referees, you've found your first candidate.
