Bought the game and can not authorize.

I just bought IL-2 and look forward to playing.  I spent years flying Warbirds and Air Warrior in years past.   However I can not get the game to connect to the authorization server.   I have a paid account, I even changed the password once to see if that was it.   I have punched holes in my firewall just in case for port 80 and 443.  I use DNS lookup to see the authentication server and get the ip address.  When I ping the server if fails but I figure they have ping turned off.  When I do a Traceroute to the IP I can find the route but get no response at the last few hops.  Again I think they have ping response turned off.

 

I am at a lose of what to do.  I did turn in a support ticket but I am not getting much response over a weekend.   Anyone have any ideas as I would like to fly some this weekend while I have some free time.  Btw my internet is great with no packet loss and I can get anywhere else I want on the internet.

Ok I found if I disable my AntiVirus then I can connect.  I use EMISOFT.  Does anyone have a work around for keeping the protection software active and still play the game?   I did make a rule for the authorization website in the EMISOFT setup but it still blocks the traffic.
