Looks amazing, but doesn't flick my switch at all... don't think I'll be playing this one.

wow....the CRINGE is real.  I thought they couldn't do any worse after battlefield 5, they legit said, "hold my beer" on that front. Wow.

Did you make it far enough to see the guy jump out of the Raptor, and use a shoulder launched missile to kill the plane following, before skydiving back into his Raptor.

I'm trying to imagine what they could of made that is dumber.

wtf....

Well the graphics engine looks capable but it says it all when you end up fast forwarding the trailer multiple times just to get to the end more quickly.

Probably a bit of an homage to this famous kill from BF3.

But yeah game looks a bit of a mess. Will wait to see how it turns out. It's BF so we know more or less how it'll play as the formula mostly hasn't changed in a decade. But if the maps are good and they can make 128 players play well then could be decent mindless fun.

It is not "one famous kill".. but somehting called "LOOPZOOK" that was in the game since the first Battlefield

A massive improvement over the BF5 reveal trailer... That one was hot f#$&ing garbage.

This is purely fan service and its actually pretty great from that standpoint. People tend to think of the BF series as some sort of realistic, semi-realistic, or watered-down yet realism infused military themed shooter that isn't CoD. It isn't. Not even remotely. It never has been. Just put that out of your mind.

If you have any real concerns for the title it should probably be that they've done away with classes and have completely replaced them with Specialist tiers. This is a horrible idea, and as past games utilizing this direction have shown, it leads to awful and unmanageable balance issues.

Jumps out of the plane, magically produces his AT/AA weapon (it's the future of course so it weighs bugger all) gets a kill and his aircraft (must be Kit from Knight Rider in plane form) has stayed nearby to collect him...  Oh yes, I can see it now, the amount of young children and teenagers rage quitting because they can't pull that one off on their first go.  :dash:

Quite frankly it looks like the sort of video game that your average school shooter would enjoy.

Obviously none of us would ever dream of investing time in something that induced ragequit on the regular :D:D:D

Gotta say that graphically the game looks amazing, but god, it looks boring as hell.

Looks like a Battlefield game. BF5 didn't appeal to me because it was a little too out there but enjoyed BF4 a lot. Really like what they did with environmental effects (storms, building crashing down etc...) In BF4

This is not just dumb, it's boring. If you can do absolutely idiotic actions, everything gets arbitrary. Then again, it is not the point of the game. It is just about being immersed in a twilight of flickering images. Like sitting in front of a one armed bandit enjoying the blinkenlights and where even winning some can be a distraction from the plain opting out of reality. Sharknado. Minus sharks.

What happened to this franchise? It was great at one point.

Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, Bad Company 2. Those were the times. Unfortunately i missed out on the BF2 fun because my PC at the time could not handle it.

Ever since that cops and robbers release this franchise has gotten worse and worse. I used to be a diehard fan, not so much anymore.

It's because it's now retarded fanbase think this is what makes a good game.

The developers know this, and keep pumping out this kind of garbage because the kids keep lapping it up.

So they do, what the customer base wants? Sounds smart to me. Guess simmers like us just aren’t part of that customer base ?

Smart, of course... they aren't stupid.

Don't get me wrong here, I like a good shoot em up, but for me, this one does nothing to make me want to buy it.

I have completely given up with the Battlefield and Call of Duty series.  They will never beat those heady days of Captain Price and "Soap" MacTavish or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare IMO.

On the WWII front, Hell Let loose keeps getting better with each update.

Having said that, my favourite FPS game of all time would probably have to go to Red Orchestra - Ostfront 41-45. By today's standards the graphics look very basic. However, the gameplay was fantastic and it had many features that were unique (at the time) and discouraged "run and gun and bunny hopping numpties. Some of the Tank maps were huge and the combined arms element was very well done.  I'm getting too long in the tooth for FPS games these days, particularly that most are just generic claptrap played on maps the size of postage stamps

We have yet to see how the Eastern Front side of things properly pans out in HLL, but if you want some decent WWII FPS then at the moment it's definitely HLL or Post Scriptum.

MP only titles unfortunately - because videos on both look awesome.

I loved Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.

I really miss the old singleplayer games.  I just want to run around and shoot all the nazis in the face then flick the switches to open the red door and go to the next level.

I’ve had the same urge, but figure it’s best to stay clear of Portland and Seattle.

Battlefield has been my go to console/PC game since it game out 20 some years ago. I've been hooked ever since. BFV was tough for me, it was the return to WW2 we all wanted, but man did they screw it up. All they had to do was remake the first game with all the huge major battles, difference factions and it would of been fantastic. But they went a sort of fantasy version of ww2 that turned off some people even before the game was launched. But man it was a pretty fun game, I still enjoy playing it.

I had a hell of a time with BF1942 and the Forgotten Hope mod. Never ever the battlefield experience that came after this could match that. Today this franchise is total garbage or I'm to old now for FPS...
