I see lot's of headsets but no full kit's online. I'll research more. I'll see how bad buying separate is too. Thanks all. I ended up buying mine piecemeal. But. i got the Valve Index knuckles instead of the Vive Pro 2 wands. That was what I intended to do, but your wants may differ. But, since they are both Lighthouse tracking systems that use SteamVR, they are interchangeable. If you can get the Lighthouse 2.0 units from Valve, you can actually get the full setup for less than the HTC kit. However, they're out of stock, so I had to get the HTC branded ones. They're $200 each instead of the $150 Valve charges for them. B&H has lighthouses, while I ordered the knuckles direct from Valve. You'll also want to get stands or fittings for the loghthouses. Apparently none of the kits come with that. That added another $60 to the set. Another option, if he's not entirely sure about VR yet, is to get the Index kit from Valve. Because the kit has such a steep discount on it, getting the full Index kit and a Vibe Pro 2 headset ends up only being about $200 more, pre-tax than getting just the parts for a Vive Pro 2 setup separately. In theory you could eBay the Index headset and end up with a cheaper overall setup. But I've never ended up actually selling computer hardware in eBay, even when I planned to, so mileage may vary.

Ohh that's all good stuff! I actually have Knuckles still in the box never opened from when I got HLA. I just was so happy with my quest2 and didn't feel like digging out my LH1's after I moved. So the Knuckles stayed in the box. I have an HTC Vive Pro that I used like six times if anyone wants to buy a Vive Pro 1. If he's really into the Vive Pro 2 idea, I'll sell him my knuckles and have him get V2 Lighthouses from Valve. Thanks!
dburne Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Yeah Vive Pro 2 with Lighthouse 2.0 and Knuckles is da bomb!
SCG_motoadve Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I only use the Vive Pro2 for flight simulators. And only use one base station, bought it used on Ebay, cheap. Tracking issues are non existent, works great.
