=LD=dhyran Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Gents, WB Clash of Eagles is up and running again! Have fun S!
=LD=dhyran Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 (edited) Hello all, WB CoE is up again in realism settings! The goal of WB Clash of Eagles is to conquer your enemy's airfields. The goal of the enemy is exactly the same... to capture yours. The side that eventually defeats the enemy by conquering all its fields wins the war. Strategic goals linked to each field can be attacked to increase the rebuild time of the field you want to attack. Radar antenna's positioned way outside an airfield warns you if an enemy is in sight. Destroying the radar however will make you blind instantly and the enemy can now sneak in undetected and attack your fields. Any damage you inflict on your enemy will be carried over to the next day. A war can be short or long. Plan carefully. Timing and teamplay is key. https://clashofeagles.net/ Rolling planeset : https://clashofeagles.net/?page_id=133 sneak peek: WBCoE is coming soon on the normandie map! =LD=dhyran Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 (edited) Hiho gents, sneak peek about the upcoming normandie map arena! YES we call it an arena, because our genius programmer stevie found a method to integrate a full live dynamic field capture without waiting for a map roll! So if you close all targets at base and drop at least 8 paratrooper in time you can capture a field in realtime! Join us Edited May 26, 2023 by =LD=dhyran 1

=1stROF=stevie Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 (edited) WB Clash of Eagles – Arena Settings The Arena is the place for both new and experienced IL2 pilots. New pilots might want some help with flying. Hop on our discord server and scroll down to the #Training grounds and put down your request for help! There are 20 fields on the map which can be captured and recaptured untill one side controls all the fields and wins the war. The mission starts in the morning and ends near the evening. After the mission has rotated (a new day has passed) and the state of the previous day it automatically carried over. You can continue flying! Depending on the team-work of the entire side, it can take WEEKS before a war is won. Therefore, every friday a new planeset is released for 7 weeks. After that, the planeset stays on the latest set untill the war is won, or when it's undecisive. After the tour has ended; it's time to award medals and ribbons to the participating players. These are the server settings: icons are OFF for both friendly and enemy air- and ground targets, tech chat is ON; which means you have information of your engine temp. etc on screen. CEM is ON (Complex Engine Management), inflight map OFF; you have an in-game map available but your plane’s position and any friendly or enemy aircraft is not being shown. Which means you have to navigate by landmarks. Capturing fields. Gameplay of WB Clash of Eagles Plan your attack. [optional] Strafe the radar antenna attached to the field to blind the enemy's early warning system for at least 30 minutes. After that, it will start rebuilding. Linked Factory: [optional, but highly recommended] Destroy buildings to 'close' (shutdown) the factory. You get a message when you succeeded. Once closed it will be down for 90 minutes and adds 30 minutes of extra rebuild time to the structures destroyed on the field after the factory is closed. Remember; the enemy can repair a factory by dropping 8 para’s very close to it. Linked Ship Convoy: Sink the 6 ships. They will be sunk for 90 minutes and that will add 30 minutes of extra rebuild time to the structures destroyed on the field after the convoy is sunk. You can not repair a sunk convoy. Now you are ready for the big job; Capture an airfield: Depending of the airfield’s size you need to destroy hangars, ammo-dumps, control towers, fuel storages and hangers. Best way is to start with the AAA. When the ack is down you have loads of time to destroy the hard targets. You only need bombs for hangars and control towers; the other targets can be strafed (cannon). Completely destroyed structures on a field will pour out thick black smoke for 30 minutes. When all structures are down you will read the on-screen “FIELD CLOSED” message. When the linked target (factory/convoy) is destroyed prior to the airfield attack you will have 60 minutes to accomplish this. The hard work is now done. But the field isn’t yours yet! Make sure to have transport plane (JU52 and C47) standby to kick out those troopers. When the field is closed, drop a minimum of 8 paratroopers (12 on a Main field) within the boundaries of the field in order to capture the field. Note: AAA and searchlights do not need to be down in order to close a field. AAA will pop up after 15 minutes, even if the linked target is destroyed. AAA is lethal for your paratroopers, make sure to keep those Flak boys down. Good luck! So, to resume the rebuild timers:AIRFIELDS: * Please note*: Rebuild timers are individual for each target! Corresponding linked target NOT destroyed: AAA - 15 minutes Hangars, Towers, Ammo, Fuel, Radio hut etc - 30 minutes Corresponding linked target destroyed: AAA - 15 minutes Hangars, Towers, Ammo, Fuel, Radio hut etc - 60 minutes CONVOYS / FACTORIES * Please note*: Rebuild timers are for the entire object upon destroyed. AAA - 15 minutes Convoy / Factory (once entirely destroyed) - 90 minutes Friendly paratroopers (8) can repair the factories once dropped close (Convoy's cannot be repaired) Edited June 1, 2023 by =1stROF=stevie 1
=1stROF=stevie Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 We have had some great flying the past weekend: Thank you everyone for participating! We have gotten some great feedback about the flow of capturing fields and the stats pages. And we have been making some small adjustments on the mission itself and scorepages. This gamemode is stunning in the Normandy map. Cya again soon! 1
=1stROF=stevie Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Most of the EWR posts have been identified. You may use this sheet to help you in battle. By destroying the EWR post you overload the radio-hut on the field causing it to be destroyed. This is indicated by an on screen message but also by the explosion on the field. The enemy EWR is blind. The enemy will no longer be aware of your presence in the vincinity of the airfield untill you get real close. This buys you some time for a sneak attack on enemy fields. The EWR will be rebuild at the regular rebuild times Good luck! 1 1 1
Sayan Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Good afternoon pilots. I recently found your server in rotation, came to look... And I was fascinated) Very thoughtful and interesting. If you accept the requests, then please add player-controlled flak to airfields. You can put 3-4 pieces in different parts of the field. Well, cars with replenishment of ammunition for anti-aircraft guns are also needed) Thank you!

=1stROF=stevie Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 (edited) We have added some more functionality to the stats pages. We have decided to move away from out own processing and stepped over to the awesome IL2 Stats by vaal. However the provided statspages itself doesn't fit well with our specific game mode so a new portal is written for it. Keeping everything in place how Vaal processes the logs, we extract the data and publish these events through Azure table storage. This is currently our first rough version, but we invite you to take a look, and hop by on the server. We are having an amazing time where teamwork really pays off and you see the squads working together in making their sides win the war. Clash of Eagles missions run for 11 hours straight, and take several weeks to complete. Woensdag the map re-rolls the progress is carried over. So any captured fields (or lost) are exactly the same the second the new mission starts. Every week a new planeset is introduced advancing through the years. There is plenty to do when trying to capture fields and prevent the others from taking yours. Fly smart and work as a team to win the war. <S> Stevie https://clashofeagles.net https://stats.clashofeagles.net Edited June 19, 2023 by =1stROF=stevie 1

=1stROF=stevie Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 (edited) Summary - Clash of Eagles: Tour 2 Over the course of three intense weeks, WB Clash of Eagles brought together 70 active Allied pilots and 57 Axis pilots in a fierce battle for airfield dominance. The Allied forces initially gained momentum and were close to victory, successfully capturing a significant portion of southern France. However, in a surprising last-ditch effort, the Axis managed to reclaim a substantial part of France before launching an offensive towards England. Throughout the tour, both sides showcased impressive aerial combat skills, with the Allied pilots securing 278 air kills and the Axis achieving 260. The Allies also excelled in ground attacks, destroying 3495 ground targets, while the Axis managed to take out 1982 targets. In terms of overall performance, the Allied side dominated with a total score of 94327 points, compared to the Axis's 67031 points. The Allies flew a remarkable 1173 sorties, logging a total of 280 hours in the virtual skies. The Axis, though slightly outnumbered, flew 990 sorties and accumulated 224 hours of flight time. Ultimately, the Allied forces emerged victorious, managing to repel the Axis advance in England and reclaim control of the territories they had lost in France. Despite their triumph, both sides have decided to continue the campaign with rolling planesets until Planeset number 7, introducing new challenges and opportunities for each faction. With the map reset, the scoring for tour 2 will continue, promising another thrilling chapter in this virtual WWII air combat simulation. <S> stevie Edited July 5, 2023 by =1stROF=stevie 1

I can’t understand something, or I’m using the statistics incorrectly, or it doesn’t write all the results of the flights. Yesterday (July 19) I destroyed 5 convoy ships in F12, destroyed a factory in F20 around Dieppe (about 11 buildings vrlde would) and something else. But for some reason, in the statistics for this day, there are only 6 structures at the airfield Thanks in advance.
Sayan Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Good afternoon pilots. Tell me, maybe it is still planned to add anti-aircraft guns controlled by players to the airfields? I think it will add interest. Sincerely.
