Is there anyone who can compete with my supreme artistic talent?

I made an alternative (and somewhat inevitable) bullet pattern using mods-on mode, but it’s a bit too rude to show here.

Nice. You must have needed to land at least 300 bullets of .50 AP rounds to inflict such massive damage!

Hold on a minute... Dynamic visual damage is already out!?

The hell. I was playing today and I had no dynamic visual damage effects... Is there a setting for it in-game?

It's being rolled out gradually to existing aircraft. The -51 & Typhoon already have it, as do the most recent FC2 aircraft. More will follow along in upcoming updates.

Ah, I see. No wonder I didn't see any DVD playing yesterday. I was flying the P-47D-22 almost exclusively.

Thanks for the info!

They are starting to add dynamic visual damage?! Man I really need to jump back in. Waiting for the normandy map to come out.

Here's what I really don't understand... while I love DVD, the planes that have it, have ALSO kept the old damage visual model (8-bit NES style).  I asked about if it was temporary while they implement DVD, but they said no, it's here to stay.  I really don't understand.

Maybe you have to have old one for ppl who dont like new dvd, if in mp dvd is performance heavy there have to be option to not use it.

DVD is not to replace other damage, only enhance the overall damage system. The older art will be worked on over time to better accent DVD. Shell fragments aren't part of DVD, so when explosive round hits, the standard damage should add some splash damage flavor. It's a little incongruent at the moment, but in the end it will look very nice.

Question about DVD. Its purely visual and doesnt affect at all how tough and resilient a plane can be right?

I'm asking because I am not a fan of the current Mustang damage model. Its way too tough, including its engine. However, it loses its flaps almost all the times. Since I began fighting mustangs often in my BoBp career around the same time dvd was implemented on it, I cannot compare its dm to its dm prior to dvd.

Sorry if its kind of off topic.

DVD applies to the visuals only.

tbh so far when I've been online using the aircraft with DVD, I cannot say that I've ever noticed the DVD, the only times I've seen the DVD is when testing in single player using a pistol upon my own aircraft
