For a successful jump, you must have a speed of less than 250 miles per hour. The pilot also behaves on tempest.

Absolutely correct. What induced me into error is that when testing the plane and start a quick mission in air then the plane is not immediately at its stabilized speed, and so speed increases until passing the 250 MPH. That was the issue. If you eject a short timer after starting the quick mission it works as the plane speed is under 250, but after some time you cannot eject as the plane has passed that speed limit. It has nothing to do with ordnance but as these were my tests with different loads etc. In my first tries I did not check the speed value as I though that the plane was immediately at its stabilized speed which is near 300 Mph if one does not touch any control.

Salute,

Many thanks for a fantastic update.

May I ask about the below

25. Simple AI wheeled vehicles correctly collide with static objects;

Does this mean that AI will no longer travel through a forest without issue?

As you state "wheeled" I assume tanks will be ok if this IS the case?

Regards

Friar

Actually the Reticle itself didn't move (like in newer variable depression sights) it always remained in the same position relative to the combining glass. The knob actually moved the entire combining glass so the reticle LOS was therefore changed. The mechanism for tilting the combining glass can be seen in the graphic below.

In case if you didnt change your POV - reticle reflection will move.

Gunsight have a movable screen (it changes angle), so to check what gonna happen with reticle on screen against same POV you can set a simple experiment - take a mirror (it will simulate gunsight reflector) and set it (put by its lower edge) on table against your eyes position, then put something on table - a coin for example, so it will be visible (reflected) - and then just change mirror angle (tilt it fwd or back).

Wonderful work so far! Typhoon is a must have for WW2 aerial warfare!

However: I noticed that when I started cold in Kuban summer (quick mission) with a parked Typhoon, the pilot already had the mask on him and was breathing heavily. When I started the plane and climbed, the mask was still on.

Is this normal behaviour?

Yes. you'd run oxygen at all times in the typhoon due to CO2 leakage.

What I'd like to know is, if the O2 system is damaged in game, does the pilot suffer??

Downloaded and installed without drama, all seems okay so far, that Typhoon is deadly.

Thank you very much to all involved, really appreciated.:drinks:

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

IIRC someone has tested it and at high altitude, with O2 system damage, you get blurry vision in the sim.

Someone needs to do a run up in a Typhoon on the ground and see if they get CO poisoning.

I have not any problems with Tiffy's trim.

No reaction to the fact that the trim tabs are moving opposite directions on the horizontal stab though? Do you not sense the plane rolling when trim is applied? And you are a tester...

Dear NIK14. If I write here that I have no problem with the trim, then I have no problem with it. This has nothing to do with the tester. Simply put - trims work as they should. That is all.

Have a nice Day.

Very, very great and wonderfull news! I am nearly out of words to write my comments. Thanks for this news. :salute:

About trim tabs on the Tiffy - maybe it's just an animation issue? Indeed the left elevator tab works as it should, while the right one moves in the opposite direction, which doesn't make any sense, unless it was an anti-servo tab. I know Brits tend to design strange things in their kites, but having a servo and anti-servo on the same control channel would be mouch more than only "strange" ;).

You seem to have taken offense?

I was merely pointing out that the plane rolls left when you pitch or trim up and it rolls right when pitched or trim down also the trim tabs animation of travel is opposite directions (should not be the case on stab), as you are a tester I was perhaps expecting you to pick these anomalies up.

Don't want to be the cynical guy but the fact that you have I./JG1 as your prefix hints to me you don't want the issue fixed perhaps? Is that all?

I wasn't offended, I have no reason ?. Hence the forum to express opinions here. You have expressed yours, and I have answered you.

And of course you are right - as a member of JG1, I do everything what I can to make the enemy aircrafts inoperable. Especially Typhoon ?

Absolutely wonderful work, Jason and the team! I have been waiting for the Typhoon ever since it was announced, and I have to say that it is now one of my two favourite planes in the game. One small bug that I noticed, though, was that while I was flying the Typhoon in QMB, the message 'You have been killed. Hit esc.' popped up twice. My plane had not even taken any hits. What also happened in QMB, is that it seems that you are now the last plane in the flight, and not the leader. I may be wrong, as I've only had two goes in the Typhoon so far, but I thought that I might just make you aware of it.

is correct The message 'You have been killed" and you are now the last plane in the flight, and not the leader.

I'm not gonna lie those 3D models look sweet as candy.

Any chance to see incendiary ammo implemented next?

Time to get my hands on that Typhoon.

Great work! Looking forward to see what else you got up your sleeve :salute:

I have just spent 10 minutes reading the "News" in the link provided without realising I am reading Update 3.008 from 2018.

The link apparently was to the page itself rather than for a latest post ?:russian_ru:

Anyway, thanks a lot for the new update and the new planes! I guess its a time to pre order the Vol 2 Flying Circus.

Have to say I'm a fan of the Tiffy.  She handles well and going up against 190 A8's and 109 G14's she is more than capable.  I find her more than able to hold her own compared to the Tempest.

Outstanding plane.

Every joystick key must be reinitiated. But it is worth it the planes are ok (wonderfull) and the maps even more realistic (this is a opinion).

The game does take a little more place on the storage device.

The sound of the mandatory oxigen mask in the Typhoon is realistic! Thanks.:salute:

I was just about to post the same thing.  Started a QMB at 3km altitude, and noticed that when I landed and shut off the engine, my pilot was still breathing through his oxygen mask.

The Typhoon had problems with carbon monoxide from exhaust fumes leaking into the cockpit. Pilots generally wore their mask throughout the flight.

are you on steam version? is so did you at any time move your IL2 to another Drive then move it back? I'm investigating a steam drive move issue.

Imagine if the devs had a secret plan to release the Normandy map on the 6th of this month. It is D-Day, after all.

All jokes aside, though, I wonder if they have an estimate on when the map will arrive.
