Don't come around here no more

S! all

J5 Ragnutz and me spotted a lonely camel over our lines. For the newer pilots, when fighting as a pair, one should pin the enemy in the fight while the other goes away, climbs and comes back with an altitude advantage, and hopefully the element of surprise, which means the enemy is having to be constantly looking around for the 2nd aircraft, and is tempted to rush finishing off their immediate opponent, which can lead to mistakes. Because we were on comms, we sorted it out eventually, Ragnutz extended and finished the fight beautifully.

Soundtrack - 'Don't come around here no more' by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, (lucky enough to see them on their 1st tour of GB supported by the Boomtown Rats - who had been kicked off the tour by the time they got to Leeds Uni)!

cheers

One of my small life regrets, never seeing Tom onstage.  Managed to see the Stones, Sir Paul and a few of the other legends, but Tom Petty is one of my all time favorites.  I guess we never really know when time will run out on either side of the "bucket list."

Bottom line - Once again, great song selection & thanks again for producing and posting!  (and salute to the Camel jockey for a valiant outnumbered effort)  :salute:

So true, I tried to tell my daughter, if she gets the chance to do something, do it, 'cause when your old, all you've got are memories. Luckily I have lots of memories, the best I think is when Pink Floyd played the opening note of their Dark side of the moon tour at Knebworth, just as a Spitfire flew over the stage and zoomed up over the crowd, spine tingling!

Thank you for your comments, I appreciate it when ppl take the time and trouble to say something. ?
