An interesting B-25 crash

Interesting, but I have to admit that I’m sceptical about the story. The fact that Dahl only went public in the immediate aftermath of the Arnold sighting is pretty suspicious. The fact that the evidence consists only of first-hand accounts from people who weren’t risking their professional reputations does nothing to help with credibility.

That being said, there are definitely some UFO sighting reports that are actually pretty credible:

I think some of the credible cases can be explained as experimental human aircraft and spacecraft - a lot of them occurred in the USA, a country that has been at the forefront of air and space travel for over a century now. But that still leaves some cases that I can only think of two explanations for; bizarre natural phenomena that have gone unnoticed and unexplained for millenia, or technology of alien origin. Or maybe the UFOs are the aliens? If we’re talking about a life-form that evolved in a different solar system or even galaxy, then I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that it might not be recognisable as a life-form to us. After all, its evolutionary history would be completely disconnected from that of literally every single living creature humanity has encountered so far.

... I went from 0 to 100 in this comment, didn’t I?

Thanks for the videos they were an interesting watch, I know most of these cases. Some other intriguing cases are the Cash-Landrum incident, Fred Valentich UFO, Kecksburg, Shag Harbour, Malmstrom, Falcon Lake, Tehran, Rendlesham Forest, etc.

Fair enough.

However, I'd argue that there wasn't much publicity in UFOs on the day of, and the only previous UFO sighting in America that I can think of is the Battle of Los Angeles; the latter was determined the following day as war jitters and most likely would be considered that even today if it weren't for the photograph.

If Dahl reported his sighting the day of he probably would have faced ridicule, so my guess is that the publicity of the Kenneth Arnold sighting and the Roswell crash gave Dahl enough strength to come forward with his sighting.

The UFO Hunters episode does not mention that Dahl was approached by 'Men in Black' who ordered him not to talk about what he saw. Therefore, this would be the first reported case of the 'Men in Black'.

Because people did not have cameras readily on them back then (like on an iPhone), and what Dahl claimed was jettisoned into the water and onto the beach was most likely destroyed in the fire and crash of the B-25 so most likely we'll never no for certain.

Yeah, that could be possible as well. Personally, I think it’s more likely that he was trying to capitalise on the Arnold sighting and Roswell, but the scenario you’ve bought up can’t be dismissed outright imo.

Wouldn’t cameras be starting to become widespread in the USA during the post-war economic boom, though?

Then again, even if that was the case, it would make more sense for cameras to be much more common in population centres like Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York, so it does seem probable that Dahl simply didn’t have access to a camera.
