Could we expect a Spad 12 one day?

Idk i just think it would be a neat plane to have in the game and to see what it does to some WW2 fighters lol ? may be unlikely but I do sometimes wonder.

The Spad XII is somewhere between the VII and the XIII

Its operationnal life was very limited (though more significant than the snipe or the Siemens schukert DIV) and there are plenty of interesting planes missing

It only had 12 rounds of 37 mil but it was a neat idea i think 300 were ordered and only 20 were possibly made but a lot of people don't know about it so its often left untouched which i think is a shame cus its such a cool idea imho

Seem to recall mention of 37mm cannister shells used in it, so the thought of an air to air shotgun like that is very amusing.

That was one possibility 

The 37 mm gun was actually a multipurpose navy gun and could use all types of ammo

The Voisins bombers could accomodate 37 mm guns and navy gunners were trained as crews

Hmm... I tried modelling a pair of APK-6 with canister shot in Il-2 1946... and the results were interesting but unspectacular. It just doesn't work that well... and for a 37mm cannon - I doubt the amount of shells would be enough to be very effective (compared to, say, the one-shot 'mortars' that were attempted early in the war).

 

I'd personally prefer a flexibly mounted cannon (e.g. Voisin LAS ground attack aircraft - which would also provide a two-seater slow enough for the Fokker E.III to catch).

 

Btw. There was also a 37mm equipped Airco D.H.2 that was reportedly tested in combat... which might be interesting for ground attack. We currently have no field-modifications for it... so when the D.H.2 gets re-added we could try to encourage them to add the twin gun version, the rocket equipped version etc.

I wouldnt be against a DH.2 but that would be quite ways away i would think i think they are gradually going back and i dont thin we will see early war aircraft for a long time.
