Rjel Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 I haven't really scanned more than a couple of these reports. Some seem more detailed than others. On the first page there is one for Chuck Yeager from when he was shot down in March, 1944. https://catalog.archives.gov/id/305270
cardboard_killer Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 My father was in the USAF, stationed in West Germany in the 50s. Part of his training included a week of evasion in the countryside--he and another officer were dropped off in a field and ordered to avoid contact with anyone for a week. He told me that went to a nearby farm house, knocked on the door and got taken care of by a nice family until it was time to report back in. He left the military after only a few years, which was unusual for a Citadel graduate. I asked him why once, and he told me to go watch No Time For Sergeants.
