Is my PC good enough for a quest 2 on decent settings?

Specs:
Ryzen 5 2600 (I am ABSOLUTELY planning to upgrade this very soon because I know this is really just not a great cpu anyway so don't mind this for now)

16gb of ram (DDR4-3000)

GTX 1060 6gb

You should be able to use the q2 with lower game settings, headset resolution and super sampling.

My cpu is running at 5 ghz but I have a 1080 which limits what I can do until the gpu world returns to sanity and I can upgrade.

I totally enjoy the experience I’m getting in the q2.

Sorry, but j must say truthfully an honest "no".

I started out in 2017 with a Quest CV1 and a 1060.

The 1060 was not able to drive the game - at all, even on everything set to low and its low resolution. You absolutely will require another graphics card.

I'm sorry to bring this message, but I think it's better to know the honest truth.

If you want to get into VR, the Q2 as a standalone is fine though as well. :good:

Hey, I have a question. I run the sim with my ryzen 7 3700x and my old GTX 1060 6 gb, I get around 40 fps, some times less than that. My question is  for a new GPU have to be some Nvidia? I tried to find some information about RX 6700 xt, but nothing clear. Any one knows something more about how can be that GPU with the IL2 BOX??

Cheers!!!

The new Radeon 6000 GPUs are fine as well, they just have lower VR performance than you'd expect in comparison to Nvidia's atm.

If you compare AMD's vs Nvidia's in 2D, and assume they are 1:1 ratio performance wise, then for VR you'd get 0.9:1 ratio performance wise. And lacking some features like DLSS 2.1... AMD is cooking up its own technologies, but they're new to it.

I'd say though, the best GPU right now is one you can buy.
