Not sure if this is the place to post this as although it's a "technical issue" it's not a game issue.

Anyway....

Like most of us I get notified of replies or topics I'm watching via my email.  But when I click on the link to the topic I get instead the "OOPS! error,  Server Overload.  Try again later." page with the Big Red Shoes.  (see attached)

It first happened this afternoon as I was trying to post a response in the Dev Diary 281 thread.  I wrote the post but when I clicked the send box I got the page.  And have ever since.

I have had to create a new desktop shortcut just to visit the forums.  I see a notification in my email but I cannot use the provided link.  I have to use my desktop shortcut and navigate to the page.

Do I need to make a new notification link and if so, how?

Or is it something else I fecked up somehow?

Or have I P.O.ed someone?  And if that, what did I do wrong?

:scratch_one-s_head:

Any help appreciated even a link to a how-to article or post.

TIA

I tried to get into the forum last night a few times and had the same.

Decided to load the game and fly a mission, all okay there but again next time I tried the forum the same.

Tried again this morning and still the same, just refreshed the page and there it was, forum back.?

No idea what was up but all seems well now.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

OK, I got here just fine with the email link but....

I still get the Oops! page for links to the Dev Diary 281.

ADDENDUM:

Found a couple of posts from 2018 with the exact same issue.

Solution put forth was to clear the browser cache.  I was concerned I would lose my log in and I've been here so long I forgot my password.  However Firefox allowed me to just clear the web content *, (images/scripts etc), and leave the cookies alone.  I chose that option and now can get back into Dev diary 281 from an email link.

* I don't know if other browsers allow that kind of separation between clearing just data and just cookies but I think they do.  As most of you know clearing cookies removes all saved logins.
