just wondering, if for example i want to fly an F-4, but in the time frame its only the G-14, as i progress along will the F-4 become available to me or can i not swap and need to start with an F-4 later on in the campaign timeline?

I assume you mean K-4. Yes, provided your squadron receives it.

Choose your favourite squadron, set a later time frame at the career creation and you see whether it will get the K4. You may also filter with the K4 and you will see when it arrives and which squadron using it. Beware that squadron often use different variants side by side.

yea thanks, i have done that, so i fly the 14, and later down the line it shows the K-4, just didnt know for sure i would get the choice later, thank you

I posted something along these lines to the suggestions area: it would be nice when looking at squadrons to know what planes they transition through, and when they are pulled from the theater. I started a Bodenplatte career and after a handful of missions the squadron was rotated out for a rest and I had to pick a whole new one.

Aha,yea would you believe I edited out the K to F as I had just been flying that

If I remember correctly most 109 units transition at least partly to the K4. One Gruppe of JG77 is the first to completely transition. Big exception III/JG26 which actually transitions to the Fw190 D-9 instead.
