Ice crystals on windows at high altitude

Is it possible to use the tech that you use for raindrops to generate some subtle ice crystal effect at high altitude?

I know the windscreens of most WW2 fighters were heated, but if realistic, this might be a cool effect to have in other areas, like the edge of the canopy?

Yah, when I say most, I probably should have said "there seems to have been some".

However.

The 262 clearly has heating elements in the screen, in the p47 there's

this button. From DCS IIRC the p51 has something similar.

But anywhoo, doesn't really effect the price of fish WRT my suggestion.

Makes sense.  Pilots transitioning from a misty cloud bank to higher altitudes would be blind without a defroster.
