DN308 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 For some reasons, I would like to make an AI bomber launch only a part of its payload (let's say three of ten) on a target, keeping the rest of for another target. How can I manage to do that? Thanks for your help. I've tried force complete that not works.
Gambit21 Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Never tried it, but “on attacked” to “force complete HIGH” - deactivate current attack MCU...waypoint HIGH, then next attack. Not sure if it will work, but it’s what I’d do if I were experimenting. The AI logic in BoX is very inflexible, (read pain in the ass) and I’ve found that using “trick” logic should be avoided when possible. This is because AI/under the hood logic often changes, often for the worse, and can break your ‘trick’ setup. Caveat - I can’t remember when “on attacked” fires since I don’t use it. Beginning or end of attack?
DN308 Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 Thanks. The logic you tell me is what I’ve tried... Sometimes I have a full load delivered, sometimes no at all. I would try something with a counter but don’t have any clue of what would result from that and how to use it properly. As you said, tricky logic might result in a weird behavior
Jaegermeister Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I’ve used a combination of rockets and bombs to accomplish that. The P38 fires rockets first, so on the first target, I used “on fired rockets” to deactivate the attack MCU and move them to the next target where they resumed attacking with whatever they had left. you could also try a larger than default loadout and activate the next target area as soon as their target object is damaged. Most planes don’t drop their whole load on the first pass. 1

jollyjack Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 Me dumbo again, sorry: any reload - refuel options while in the air?
DN308 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 Anybody have a clue why AI bombers from the same flight don't drop their bombs while there is a MCU Attack Area?

Have they been damaged or hit by AAA or enemy fighters? They may have doors jammed or bombing systems damaged.

Sure, You could put a refuel enabled vehicle wherever you want. All you would have to do is cut your engine off and glide over it while hitting the refuel key command. Within refuel range/ altitude of course 1
jollyjack Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Wish my car could do that with the current fuel prices. However, i then will need to buy an old-timer: Switching the engine off during a ride is too dangerous with those modern anti-theft steering wheel lock systems.
