I use abl glasses with my rift s and it eliminated all eye strain and headaches for me. I don’t have eye strain or headaches during or after using VR. I find it very relaxing. It’s better than looking at a screen for sure. The headset reminds me of wearing goggles on my motorcycle so that does not bother me either. I literally have no issues with it. The only thing I would like to improve is higher resolution to get rid of the slight blurring of objects at medium distances

I understand that I need an update of my rig. Does anybody have an image of how IL2 looks like with CR? I understand that the 3D impression will lack but at least I have a slight impression on the resolution, colours and details. As others have said, still pictures don't really tell the full story as you have two different perspectives of the same thing. When getting your vision checked, most people can see slightly better with both eyes combined than they can with any single eye and this is true in VR. Subjectively, overall clarity and colors of the Reverb G2 seem comparable or slightly better than my 2560x1440 27" screen. The Rift S is significantly worse, and the original Rift CV1 worse than that. In general, the Reverb G2 is the first VR headset where I feel resolution and clarity are no longer at a disadvantage compared to a decent monitor. Even with older headsets, it's still a good tradeoff imho. I've been a happy VR user since the CV1.
