Thrustmaster T.16000M throttle wheel slider & rudder pedals' problems in Linux

Hi everybody,

I've acquired the Thrustmaster T.16000M HOTAS + a friend has acquired the same + the rudder pedals

TL;DR

Running Manjaro Linux, throttle's wheel & rudder pedals are not detected by Il-2 BOS settings, however in the system's Game Controller calibration software, other similar software & il-2 1946 these controls work with no issues. Any suggestions?

Detailed:

I'm running Linux (latest Manjaro), so far so good with the game. Only issues I've been facing is that I'm not able to set in il2 BOS the throttle's wheel to assign a control  (pinky finger), the technical name I think is the Slider 0, the Antenna Axis.

A friend has the same problem, he's running Linux (Manjaro as well) + he has the rudder pedals, the brakes controls work flawlessly however, the rudder pedals axis is not detected neither by IL2 BOS :S

We've checked if was a particular issue in Linux, but other software like the Game Controller calibration or similar and IL-2 1946 detect the wheel & rudder pedals with no problems. We've tried mapping directly in the il2 BOS config files assigning the controls directly with different names; `joy0_slider_axis` `joy0_axis_u/t/v/.....` but no luck.

Wonder if this has been a problem for anybody else in Windows or other Linux distros and could suggest something

Thanks in advance!

I'm also having this problem. Can't get to work the rudder pedals nor the small wheel on the left side of the throtle. On other games it's working perfectly fine without doing anything special... Is there any way to make it worth wit BoS or is a 15 year old game is better developed than it? (IL46)

Hey there again!

For anyone running into this issue, I've found this tool which allows you to create virtual devices https://github.com/Vantskruv/wejoy

It solved the problem for me by creating a virtual joystick with the 2 axis IL2 wont recognize otherwise. I also modified the button 2 to use it as a modifier (LEFT ALT) in order to duplicate the available buttons, as seen in many config settings arround. You can check the wejoy profile on the PR I've just made https://github.com/Vantskruv/wejoy/pull/16/commits/2e65abae8f87913e39804704abf331a7b3bf3365
