NA Pilot new to Great Battles/Flying Circus seeks advice/alliances

S! (salute) to one and all. I'm an old RB3D and IL2 1946 pilot who is getting back into virtual aviation after a long hiatus. Under different callsigns, I flew with the 1st Air Battalion (AB1) in RB3D and the American Volunteer Group (=AVG=) in IL2 1946. I also attended the old joint-ops virtual flight school, tail number V438AB. Along with another pilot, we are looking to bring the 1st Air Battalion into the FC community, and would appreciate any and all advice on how to get used to this series and/or events and tournaments.
