Cybermat47 Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 At the Battle of Kursk, the Tiger Is of the 1st SS Panzergrenadier Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler were all marked with the number 13. This was because they were in the 13th tank company of the division. This was similar to how the 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Division Das Reich marked their tigers with the letter S, to indicate that they were from the division’s heavy (schwere) tank company. Given the prominent role that LSSAH’s Tiger played in the Battle of Prokhorovka and in the two Clash at Prokhorovka campaigns, I think it would be a good idea for the number 13 to be added as a single decal option for German tanks, at least in outline form, as it would allow for a more accurate depiction of the Tigers that fought the main thrust of the Soviet advance at Oktyabrsky. 13th company, 2nd platoon, 4th tank. 13th company, 1st platoon, 5th tank. 13th company, 1st platoon, 1st tank.
