Dear Friends!

Today’s DD is pretty straightforward, we’d simply like to show you some shots of content that we have in the works for both Battle of Normandy and Flying Circus: Volume II.

First, we have multiple renders of new objects, vehicles and ships that are being created by a development partner of ours. They are coming along nicely as you can see. They will be fully integrated into the engine very soon.

Full news is HERE.

Beautiful work. Thanks.

My only comment - given the amount of work on ships related to D-Day itself (which is hard to fully depict)... will we be getting any coastal patrol boats or motor gun boats with which to flesh out the coastal patrols both before and after D-Day? It would seem like they'd provide more game-play opportunities.

That Fokker D.VIII is a very charming little design, how did it fly in RoF? I never ended up flying it up back in the day, there

Also Typhoon in approximately a month probably is very exciting!

A bit like the DR1. A crystal engine, though. One little over-rev, no mercy.

Are the balloon cables collidable?

The detail on the landing craft is great, very encouraging for a BoN that includes the big day!

A cool little detail on the Fokker D.VIII - it now has a windscreen. Great job! We really have come a long way:

Much like it did in the original Red Baron - good to accelerate, truly superior climb performance... a bit delicate perhaps. As mentioned - it has a mild version of some of the positive qualities of a triplane without the excessive drag... it isn't going to be faster than the Entente fighters, but it is pretty fast compared to other Central Powers aircraft, and is fast for its engine power.

I hope there will be a land version of that 40mm bofors, seems really absent in Bodenplatte.

How cruel! Show those lovely little ships in one picture then they're all smashed up in the next ?.

Looking forward to that Typhoon! Oh yes. ?

Good to see 40mm Bofors and 20mm Oerlikons, I also hope to see ground based variants of them soon to fill the current gap in western allied AAA guns, only short range .50 cal and long range 90mm are present at the moment.

Nice improvements, in particular the blockhaus and AAA big guns.

Looking forward for all these additions to implement the Belgian and Low Countries coasts.

And by the way, many thanks for the video.

Except some potshots, I wasn’t able to get some good homings on planes.

I have to study that closely, now.

Looks great!

One small question though - are static versions of the vehicles planned? They are a great tool for mission creators as they don't cost so much resources (both CPU and GPU) as the dynamic ones as they don't have any AI and have slightly less visual detail. However, most vehicles in BoBP and FC only have their dynamic versions. Will there be static vehicles again?

Some nice looking vehicles/boats coming, well done all concerned.

These are the treasures that highlight the "Hardcore" within a Combat Flight Sim!

A little bored just driving around in a truck sim completing deliveries, or wishing for more of the Hardcore within a FPS that offers Vehicle Combat? No problem, drive a classic in IL-2 Great Battles!

There is nothing to complain about, regarding Ai when Players online are operating vehicles on the ground.. .

Great Video, it's a good example, (among the many), of the "Hardcore" within the IL-2 Great Battle Series.

Models & colours look fantastic!

*A few things I was wondering.. When operating the GAZ-MM, supports extended when stationary, is a faster reloacation possible when revving the engine while retracting supports with the intentention to move in a forward direction?  (undertand this is not possible if needing to reverse/retreat).

*With Trackir or VR, is it possable to Lean out the window a little while inside the GAZ-MM ?

*Lighting appeared a little dark inside the GAZ-MM, also when the door was open, considering being well lit outside?

As alway's, a BIG Thank you to the community and Team that make these wonderful hobbies so much fun.

:salute:

I was under the impression that we won't actually be seeing the big day itself, only the post-invasion. I think BoX would crumble under the number of objects required for the 6th June.

Nice update, and even better knowing that the Typhoon is coming soon! ?

88mm?

Could it be made as player controllable so can be used against aircraft & tanks.

10.5cm. The 8.8cm had difficulty hitting high altitude bombers.

They already did. It's in the Tiger tank! ?
