Marvel Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 (edited) Hi guys, well, after several weeks I finally set a new arrangement for my flight sim station. As per in my previous posts I used my gimball v3 Kompatto, the awesome KG13 by Aviasim Control and some other home-made devices. I also completely re-wiringall the devices. Here some pictures: Structure is in aluminium profiles and service consolle is a mock-up in strong cardboard, to set and test the various devices, then it will be in painted plywood. Unfortunately the orrible part of this rig is the seat and his structure, but till now I haven't found a good seat....? Let me know what do you think about. Ciao! M Edited May 13, 2021 by Marvel 2 3
Marvel Posted May 14, 2021 Author Posted May 14, 2021 Thanks for your opinions guys! ? 9 hours ago, kissTheSky said: I see nothing wrong with the seat! It’s perfect. This seat would be the top of the top, but....no chance to find it in Europe, unfortunately....? https://pitstopusa.com/i-23910060-rci-lo-back-poly-racing-seat.html Ciao! M
Jaws2002 Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 (edited) It looks good. For a seat go to your local automotive junkyard. You should be able to find a much better seat than the "gaming" chairs they sell in stores. Edited May 14, 2021 by Jaws2002 1
DD_Crash Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 (edited) What he says. I use a Range Rover discovery seat. very comfortable. Edited May 14, 2021 by DD_Crash 1

M these get shipped to EU, but the cost of shipping would be prohibitive. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1100 Like others say though, a 2nd hand automotive seat might be had for a reasonable price. My cockpit has a seat out of a Honda prelude for example.
Marvel Posted May 17, 2021 Author Posted May 17, 2021 Hi guys, thanks for suggestions! Yep, I have already a spare seat of Ford Fiesta 2006/2008 (I take idea from my car, a Ford Festa), but I went back to the go-kart seat because the Fiesta seat is, surely comfortable, but too big for the flight sim rig. As I said, the RCI lo-back 8020 would be the perfect one. I hope next months it would be available in Europe too, when this damn pandemia would be passed away....? Ciao! M
