IS there someone who can explain the process being used to create the models of airplanes for this game series?

1. software being used to make the model

2. process its merged into the game system

The reason being, if users with 3d modeling experience knew the 3d software being used, we could HELP OUT.

Say we prototype out one of the russian rocket launcher trucks, send it to you guys, you put into the game world and evaluate it.

If all the devs needed was a hobby-quality 3d model, than we would already have every plane from 1914-1946 in-game.

Unfortunately, that isn't the case. A model for the game requires an in-depth knowledge of the engine and it's requirements and must be made to a standard that typically requires industry experience along with documentation to assure that both the devs have full rights to the model and that they can provably trace it's original creation to who ever submitted it.

Beyond that, the mesh is only a tiny part of what goes into getting an object in-game.

The Devs are certainly aware that there are keen amateur modelers in the community and the Devs have used community made assets, such as skins and loading-screen artwork, in the past. However it is not currently in their, or the games, interest to source meshes from the community at the moment.

It is often the case that it takes less of a development team's time to have their own artists make assets, rather than jump through all the hoops needed to use submitted content.
