Just got banned on the Loose Deuce Finnish Virtual?

The server was fairly empty so I was flying around for a while without seeing anybody. Saw that two contacts were pinging the Red front line so flew in that direction. Before I got there I saw both being engaged and shotdown so I flew on and was just wondering if it was time to rtb when I got kicked. I tried to log back on only to get the message "User is banned on the gam server".

 

I have barely played on here and wasn't anywhere near anybody tonight so I find this very odd. Can anybody explain?

That message usually appears erroneously during network difficulties, and is probably intended for those trying to circumvent a ban imposed by the master server.

If you were actively banned by the admin, you would see this symbol at the master server screen:
