IIN8II Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I wanted to have this done in time for Father's Day so I could dedicate it to my father who is responsible for my interests in both aviation and history.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuz9ai0IBzU&feature=share&list=UURXDwOQu3VHMm9d-Leg4tUQ 7
AA_Engadin Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 The making of this video sure gives your father another reason to feel even prouder of you. AA_Engadin.
Feathered_IV Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 You are very talented. I enjoyed that tremendously.
dburne Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Wow, absolutely breathtaking! What an incredible job on that video, great choice of music as well. Thank you very much for sharing! I will be watching there one a few times!!
FlatSpinMan Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 That's superb, Nate. The in-cockpit shots gave a great sense of the chaos and confusion that the pilots must have experiences. The shot of the two Spitfires near the start as they came into focus was beautiful and amazingly realistic. I'm impressed by the visual damage in CoD and the possibilities available to arrange ground objects (which themselves are very well depicted). Lovely 109 BoB-era schemes always go down well, as does anything featuring a Wellington.
FlatSpinMan Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Just subscribed to your channel and was looking at the B-17 vid made with War Thunder. It made me remember this campaign I made a few years ago for the old IL2. Some of the footage in your movie is just like scenes that played out in the campaign. I took hundreds of screenshots as there were just so many great moments. Those massed formations make for some great attack scenes. Here's the link in case you're interested. http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=3856
IIN8II Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Thank you everyone! My old man really enjoyed it. Just subscribed to your channel and was looking at the B-17 vid made with War Thunder. It made me remember this campaign I made a few years ago for the old IL2. Some of the footage in your movie is just like scenes that played out in the campaign. I took hundreds of screenshots as there were just so many great moments. Those massed formations make for some great attack scenes. Unfortunately I do not own the old IL-2 There are some nice screenies there though! I would be awesome to see flyable heavy bombers in a modern flight sim. I don't know if the Team Fusion guys have the capabilities to create new aircraft for CloD. Perhaps a future expansion with BoS? War Thunder has the capability for these types of missions but not until they fix the simulator mode and finish the cockpits for the bombers.
Tektolnes Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I don't know if the Team Fusion guys have the capabilities to create new aircraft for CloD. They're doing the Wellington at the moment. They'd have the capability to create more new aircraft I think but it's a such a heavy investment of time between modelling, FM, cockpit, systems, etc. that we'll see if there's any possibility for the real heavies such as the Lancaster to be made.
oneeyeddog Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 IIN8II, Outstanding Job. Thanks for taking the time to produce and post this exceptional video.
