Charon Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 It would be a cool touch if the map was dark and unreadable at night until the player turns on cockpit lighting. The level of illumination could be varied with the time of day, and the cockpit lights might illuminate the map less than full daytime lighting (so opening the map doesn't blind the player during night flights). (I've been doing a lot of night missions lately, and I'm loving them. It's like a whole nother game.) 2
Mtnbiker1998 Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 This would be nice, especially for us VR users! I can't say I've done much night flying in the sim, but when I do I'm usually blinded by the map! lol 1
Jeronimo83 Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 I agree with this suggestion. In night missions in VR, the map is really uncomfortable for your eyes because of its brightness. 1
migmadmarine Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Yes, please. I always find myself squinting when doing a night flight and opening the map thanks to this.
[CPT]Crunch Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Try lowering the Map opacity in your settings, you can do this while in game. It'll lower the lighting intensity quite well, and the map still remains readable if you don't go too far. 1
