Server Hosters

Can anyone recommend some server hosting websites for this? I have the 2nd account for the server but can't support running it off the same computer, and don't have a secondary one to us so curious to see if there's any recommendations for any certain virtual ones to use.

Before that I used ovh https://www.ovh.ie/

I think you'll need a physical dedicated server, not a virtual machine, unless you are running very light missions without AI (ground or flying).

Sweet, yeah I have a group of 8 people I work with who managed to pick it up so was looking for something to do some small campaigns with either PWCG or something where it throw some missions together when I have time but since most of us are military and move a lot we don't have a spare pc to host it. Thanks for the help.

For Coops with your buddies you don't need a dedicated server. The one with the fastest PC among you can play and host the same time. We are doing PWCG campaigns like that, all settings in the campaign generator at medium, and it works mostly fine, just from time to time a mission is a little heavy.

Like Nocke said, for a small group of people, I'd recommend running DServer one the strongest of your PCs. The game (client) uses at most 4 cores, DServer running separately will use another 2 at most. Any CPU with 6 cores or more is enough to run both client and server, especially for a small number of people.

The cost of renting a dedicated server is quite high for the occasional evening once or twice a week.
