Displace airfield in full mission editor

Hello vander, I’d like to alter a mission generated with EMG by moving the take off airfield to another one, not available in the EMG, namely Antwerp on the Rhineland map. Which icons should I move and are there any other actions to be taken?

First, Antwerp isn't on any of my current template 'fronts', so there will be no scenery objects: houses, hangars etc

Secondly, there is no airfield object and thus no taxi-paths for Antwerp airfield. This means AI don't know how to taxi.

 

Apart from that:

-In the flight group, say 'Blue_flight_allied' you would need to drag the aircraft, the 'check_bomber_present' checkzone, the land MCU, the WP0, WP1 and WP5 waypoints all to the Antwerp airfield. Position the planes so that they can take-off straight from the runway.

-In the top group move the appropriate icons that define the waypoint markers on the map.

 

I have a new version in the works that makes it much easier to add more fronts. I also have a front planned for the Schelde battle, which will also include Antwerp, but I will only do that for the new version.

Excellent news regarding the Battle for the Schelde front! The upcoming Typhoon will be a great addition for that.

 

Regarding taxi pathways: would it be sufficient to copy those from an existing airfield template? Will the AI automatically follow these paths when positioned somewhere inside the airfield?

 

Thanks so much for your efforts. Again, the west of Holland saw incredible important battles and aerial missions. It’s great that finally we’ll be able to see that.
