Looking for 4K skins with swastikas for all aircraft

Hi. I'm looking to replace all the default German skins in the sim with 4K ones but with the swastika. I understand that now, the 4K are part of the base game, but they come without the swastika. Is there a pack with all the German planes that includes the swastika? Or at least in 2K? 

 

In my country it's perfectly legal and I find it absurd in a historical simulator to have to give up the correct model because it's forbidden in a different country.

Thank you! There are new German planes as Hs-129 or Fw-190A-6, for example, not included in that pack.

Yeah not sure if its completely up to date...But there are tons of historical skins with correct markings available in the skins section of the website, or better yet, make it easy for yourself, save time and download this:

Thank you. I know there are tons of skins. But i'm looking for replacement for game default skins. Career mode, for example (offline). Including AI ones.

Yeah I understand.

 

I'm not sure that's available right now (every aircraft incl. AI  and static aircraft around airfields etc to have correct markings). 

 

It's probably not on the Devs "to do list" either as they have made their stance pretty clear on the hakenkreuz, so you've got to respect that decision (At least IMO...).

 

The mod does a pretty good job, while it doesn't pick up every aircraft, it's better than nothing.

It will only work if you un-GTP the factory skins to the apropriate skin folders, and replace them with same named modded skins.

There's probably some one who already did that and has a JSGME installable set.

But keep in mind that 4k skins are quite large, so all the needed skins in a JSGME pack will be a large file.

HSD is nice but for someone who only flies a few SPECIFIC planes it is not useful at all, and well its a huge file system.

You can browse HSD on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis, so you only see skins for the vehicle you want.

That sent me on quite the journey to find out what "un-GTP" is!

 

Interesting reading about it and also some of the old forum posts of how it all came about.... ?

 

I'd like to attempt your suggestion re: the fix for historical skins, I must give it a go someday when I have a little more knowledge, patience and have plenty of backups in stow.

Un_GTP is an old unpacking tool for compressed GTP game files.

Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/caxpalaudz1hd47/unGTP-IL2.zip/file

If you unpack those files and place them from the (null) folder in the appropriate game folders, 

the game will load the unpacked game folders first.

 

You could use the unpacked folder only for finding the right plane file names to download from elsewhere.

Now i wish there was a re-GTP tool too, haven't found it yet.

 

Tip, don't do the unpacking it in the game data folder itself, but anywhere else.

 

You could also use JSGME for installing and eventual reverting to before what you did, but that's a different story ..
