Not much to go on with this one but representative of JG54 on the Eastern Front in 1943. There is an extra patch of yellow or white on the top of the rudder in the b/w photo but, like the profile artist, I chose to miss it out as it was seriously fugly when seen in colour. I'm also sure that the pilot would have told the erk to get it sorted asap anyway. :acute::blush:

Great work, never seen markings like that on a German fighter before.

Never heard of a ‘jaboschwarm’ before either. I know that some gruppen and geschwaderen had jabo staffels, though.

Flowbee,

                       Absolutely marvellous , many thanks!

I made the request as I said because you were on JG54 for Broch's machine.

Also its this simulation pilots imminent birthday, so will celebrate with a flight in a FW190 with a top of the tree expertly done JG54 skin.

Again thanks and look forward to your future work.

This "Schwarm" of 4 aircrafts was formed in I.JG 54 during the winter of 42-43 for "special operaations". and was lead by Oblt. Edwin Dutel (killed during a Jabo action on 10th April 1943.)

Instead of the Arabian  figures the Schwarm  used Roman figures ( I to IV.) I know picture of White III and White II; these were A-4 type aircrafts. (from " LUFTWAFFE GALLERY JG 54 Special Album 1939-1945. N°3."  by Eric Mombeek and  Maciej Gorallczyk -Profiles by Thierry Decker)

Madcop.

I found this skin googling the jabo schwarm of JG 54 and I am just stunned at how beautiful it is. Singlehandedly got me back into flying Focke Wulfs
