Which mission files needed for a dserver mission to load?

Guys, I was able to get my dserver up and running.  My goal is to reduce the mission load times.

In the manual on MP missions it says to NOT copy the .mission files to the dserver, only .msbin, .list and a localization file are required.  When I try to use only these 3 files the dserver will not load the mission.  When I add the .mission file the mission will load...slowly.

My method is to create a mission with Patrick Wilson's campaign generator on my game pc, then transfer the files to my dserver pc, remove the extra language files then copy into the correct directory for dserver to use.

Not the end of the world, but is someone has any ideas on speeding load times I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

This should work:

  1. Transfer the files, including the .Mission file, to the dserver pc.
  2. Place them under the Multiplayer/whateverfoldernameyouuse folder on the dserver PC.
  3. Oen mission editor or resaver and resave the mission in the folder from the previous step.
  4. Remove/rename the .Mission file (I usually just add an underscore to the .Mission file name beginning).
  5. Add the msnbin file to the sds.
  6. Run server.

Thanks for the reply. I have not been opening in mission editor then resolving on the server.  I will give that a try.

Thank you.
