Does the co-pilot take over?

If you kill the pilot the plane crashes.  What about planes with two pilots (Ju 52, B-25, soon the B-26)?  Are both pilots modeled as crew members and will the co-pilot fly the plane if the pilot is killed?

No, it doesn't seem to be modeled that way.

The co-pilot always jumps in front of the pilot screaming get down mr. president! But forgets a 20mm shot will go through both of them.

Every time.

Unless it's "Red Tails", in which a 30mm into the cockpit and through the shoulder is a mere flesh wound.

You're going to have to be a really good shot to test that one.
