Fly the ultimate WWII Spitfire MkXIV protecting the Weser River Allied Bridgehead.

Mission Notes:

I first constructed this mission using Spitfire IX's - you can now compare the difference in the two Spit's.

I had to air-start half the Squadron because the powerful Griffon engine Spitfire XIV's were 'ground-looping'  when taxying to the runway.

The Spitfire XIV is an exciting plane to fly and I wish to thank Jason and Han for deciding to include this aircraft in the game and the design teams for doing an excellent job creating the aircraft.

The Spitfire IX mission has been 'reset' in game version 4.601 and is included here.

Played it this week-end and enjoyed it :

First time, I was blown out of the sky by an unseen Focke Wulfe

Second time, I shot down 2 FWs before depleting my ammos.

The mission log has shown that 7 german planes were shot down for the loss of only 1 spit !

Mission Failed, but I don't care : lot of fun !!!
