P-47 Bounce

My buddy and I flew for a bit on combat box last night, wasn't much action but we got this nice little bounce.

Still not really satisfied with the P-47 but I do have some fun flying it.

 

.50s are also annoying but that's been discussed to death.

Overall it's probably the best shooting I've done in a long time.

 

New 27" 1440p monitor really improves the spotting over 1080p imo.

Any top tips there? I've recently upgraded to a 27'' 1440p and I find my buddies are spotting things WAAAAAAY before I can see / they even seem to render for me...

Try to push the six o'clock position a bit more on follow up attacks.  Your first bounce was good but your second and third passes were at much higher angles than were necessary.

These are my graphics settings, not sure how much effect they have on spotting though. I also play with around 70-80 FOV, I notice some players play with a very wide fov and I think it can cause some spotting issues, if your view is fisheyed then its a bit too wide imo.

Not sure what elese can have an effect, I just noticed a big increase in my spotting once I upgraded to 1440p.

Agreed. The middle pass was completely unnecessary, I should have stayed up and got into a better position. The last pass I just went head on to try and take out the pilot real quick, I ended up setting his engine on fire.

Really we could have had them both in the first pass but my buddy didn't see the second guy until it was too late. The first guy I shot was one in the first pass, the second guy my buddy ended up getting after I made the head on.
