Tremenduski Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Hi. This is my first post in this forum and I’m doing this because I found a very rare and weird issue. I normally record most of my IL2 GB flights and recently while playing with my new VR toys I found that when looking inside the cockpit, specially right hand down I saw a flickering artifact that clearly is a pilot arm. This is a link to the video of my final test. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ANCGc0xUqr17TgAqeqaU0o4on5TpKddA/view?usp=sharing After many hours of troubleshooting and a few nights with little sleep I think I was able to replicate the issue. This is what I found. - It does not happen during flight. Only happens when you play a recorded flight and look inside the cockpit (as recorded or with Alt+F1). - If you are maneuvering the arm appears in other positions, seems like is bonded to world horizon. - It is not related with VR or any head tracking. - No mods installed any way mods disabled. - I tested it with 3 different airplanes and replicates in all cases. - All my flights are single player. - It happens when you start a mission and activate recording while you are still in game pause. - It does not happen if you activate recording when un-paused or you un-pause the start of the mission and pause again then start recording. As you can see this does not affect play-ability but for those of us that like record and edit dogfight videos it counts. Game version 4.601 Graphics mostly ULTRA 4K resolution plenty of power CPU and graphic card.
Tremenduski Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 UPDATE. I tested again starting a quick mission, un-pause, flight a few seconds, pause and activate recording. The artifact appears in the record. Second test started new mission, un-pause and activate recording while flying. No artifacts this time.
