TFS as you now have a newer version of Speedtree, would there be consideration for changing the trees and foliage on the Island Maps to something more tropical like Palm trees?

In connection with all of those secondary maps, to me, there's a more important question: will those maps go to 4k resolution, same as the three Channel maps and the desert map?

4K with Speedtree Pacific palms on the island maps... sounds great to me ?

Any updates on this now that the VR update has entered public beta testing? Is there a CLoD Discord out there?

There was a post yesterday (Announcements) with a few screenshots. And on Team Fusion‘s FB page there are a few more screenshots showing new terrain and clouds. 
 

No discord I‘m afraid. At least not an official one. Karaya‘s discord is where I think most things are discussed, but not officially. Just what we gather from the different sources (here, Steam, FB, Twitter).

Yes it is 100% free.   You can opt to pay an extra fee (Nitro) to use extra emoticons and maybe other perks but they are mere cosmetics and all the important functionality used by the average player is free.
