Head sway in VR when not nestled to gun

For while I have notice an annoying VR head sway like being drunk when riding in the tank (for instance).  It dawned on me just now that perhaps this is linked to the 3rd person view camera setting that sways around to give a movie camera effect in flight?  If this is the case, simply disabling that setting would stop the head sway.  Has anyone tried this?  (I won't be home for hours).
