seb93bzh Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Hello eveyone , If I link my steam account with the IL2 account, can I buy and use battle of Normandy on steam? Thanks Sébastien
No.85_Camm Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 You would be better buying it direct from IL2....also its better for IL2 because they then get all the money 1

Sébastien I bought BoS and fw190a3 from steam and everything else from il2 webstore, accounts linked.....so yes, after you link accounts everything you buy from official il2 store will be in your il2 bos steam version of the game, only difference is it won't be shown in your steam purchases.
Jade_Monkey Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Yes, I can also confirm that it works if you already have a Steam account and you buy BON from the IL2 site they work together in the same install and you can access BON from Steam.
GreatRarierBeef Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Perfect! came here to ask this same kinda thing. thanks yall and thanks search function. XD
Bakersfieldmike Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Hello, I am looking for any help in linking my accounts. I just purchased a few campaigns through Sturmovik site and do not see the option at startup to link accounts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Simo86 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 I purchased and downloaded the standalone version of IL-2, but have added it to my Steam library so that I can play in VR on Quest 2 via Steam VR. After launching the game, the screen asking to link Steam and IL2 accounts appears and I then enter my IL2 email and password and click "Link accounts and login". However all that happens then is a "Message List" pop-up appears containing nothing but the rather cryptic "#19: cmMessage19" and I am unable to proceed any further. Searching "#19: cmMessage19" in the forums does not yield any hits - does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
viperBAT46_DTF46 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) [SOLVED] Ok.. my question is.. I have BoS Steam Edition and I have an account with the IL-2 site.. do I need to purchase addons from the Official site before I'll see the ability to link accounts? Because I'm certainly not seeing this ability to link whatsoever. Btw, this is one of the best sims I have played in quite some time. Cheers! EDIT: I bought Bodenplatte from IL-2 Official store. Started Steam version and went into the settings and checked the box for allowing third party mods (I have no idea if this makes any difference at all, considering it isn't third party lol).. and voila..Bodenplatte from Official store with Steam IL-2 BoS works perfectly. I might add, I will be buying exclusively from the Official store. Sturmovik devs will get my money. Edited April 29, 2021 by viperBAT46_DTF46 Solved my issue
mrflight107 Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Wondering if someone could clarify this linking Steam to IL2 Store subject.... I have IL2 BOS-Steam installed on my simming computer. Awhile back, I had purchased Bodenplatte (BOBP) from the official IL2 store, but it was installed on a computer I no longer actively use. If I proceed to link these accounts, how do I get BOBP installed on my Steam/simming computer? I’m following that Steam ‘sees’ the IL2Store purchases, but not understanding how to get those purchases installed on the Steam computer. Thanks for your help! Mike 1
